Late Tope Osoba

Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, has made fresh claims about the circumstances surrounding her death, saying the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Onadeko, who is the Shepherd-in-Charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral in Ibeju-Lekki, made the claim during an interview on Saturday while responding to reports and allegations surrounding the actress’ death.

According to him, he was informed of Osoba’s death by an unidentified person who contacted him around midnight, telling him that she had died at a police station.

He said although he was not told the exact location of the station, he subsequently went to a nearby police station and reported himself.

Onadeko also dismissed claims that Osoba died from breast cancer, poisoning or maltreatment, insisting that several reports surrounding her death were inaccurate.

He further denied allegations that he diverted money raised for the actress’ cancer treatment to construct his church.

According to him, the funds raised for Osoba’s proposed cancer surgery were paid directly into her personal bank account, while the church he leads had been established before he met the actress.

The cleric also rejected claims that Osoba had been physically abused, stressing that she was capable of driving herself and had been using her own vehicle.

He equally denied that the actress ingested poison, describing the claims surrounding her death as untrue.

Onadeko disclosed that Osoba had left his church about three weeks before her death, adding another detail to the circumstances preceding the actress’ demise.

The actress died on Wednesday at the age of 40, amid growing public interest in the circumstances surrounding her death.

Her family has announced that her burial will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
