Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd. has launched a new initiative aimed at making property ownership more affordable, offering buyers up to 10 per cent discounts on selected properties.

The initiative, tagged Real Estate Ownership Made Easy (ROME), was unveiled on Friday at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, during an event attended by more than 1,200 investors, realtors and other stakeholders in the real estate sector.

Speaking on the initiative, the Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd., Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, said the company’s objective was to expand property ownership opportunities to people across different income levels.

He said the ROME Initiative would run until September 30, 2026, with no plan to extend the offer beyond the stated deadline.

According to him, the initiative allows prospective buyers to acquire plots at the company’s new Glory Layout in Enugu, where a plot currently sells for ₦1.5 million.

He explained that buyers who make full payment during the promotional period would enjoy a 10 per cent discount, while those opting for instalment payments would receive a five per cent discount and have up to one year to complete their payments.

Emmanuel stressed that the promotional discounts were separate from the normal commissions paid to the company’s agents, realtors and staff who bring in customers.

“This is one of the best things that can happen to anyone who wants to own properties through us. We want people to start owning properties irrespective of their financial status,” he said.

He added: “This ROME Initiative ensures that you get a 10% discount on any of the properties that you buy during this period once you are making full payment, and also a 5% discount for someone paying in instalments. The aim is simple: to produce numerous land and property owners. We want the ‘wow’ effect on the customers. We want to ensure that people can own properties without stress and get the value of their investment.”

Mama G backs initiative

Popular Nollywood actress and Powell Homes and Shelters Brand Ambassador, Mrs Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, said her continued association with the company was driven by its commitment to integrity and transparency.

Ozokwo described the ROME Initiative as timely, particularly because of its flexible approach to property acquisition, saying the company had continued to demonstrate concern for both clients and realtors.

She urged prospective buyers to take advantage of the offer before the September 30 deadline, while reaffirming her confidence in the company’s integrity.

“Powell Homes and Shelters has continued to give me reasons to believe in what the company stands for. The way it handles its clients, realtors and partners shows that it understands the importance of trust in this business. I believe this initiative will give many people the opportunity to own properties through a process that is simple, clear and convenient,” she said.

Ozokwo further said her loyalty to the brand was tied to its conduct, stressing that she would not hesitate to distance herself from the company if it compromised its standards.

ROME covers company’s properties

Also speaking, the Manager of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd., Surveyor Steve Ibaro, confirmed that the ROME Initiative would end on September 30 and covers the company’s properties, depending on the package selected by each customer.

He explained that customers choosing the instalment option would have one year to complete payment, while those unable to meet the agreed terms would be expected to communicate with the company regarding the circumstances.

“ROME is an opportunity for people to own properties through flexible payment plans. The initiative covers the company’s properties, depending on the package selected by the client,” Ibaro said.

He appreciated the company’s clients, stakeholders and realtors for their continued support, saying their partnership had contributed to the growth and improved service delivery of the firm.

Realtor lauds Powell Homes

Speaking on behalf of the company’s realtors and partners, the Managing Director of Chris Alex Homes and Properties Ltd., Mr Eze Christian, described Powell Homes and Shelters as a dependable brand for people seeking genuine property investments.

Christian, who said his company had partnered with Powell Homes for more than five years, attributed the relationship to what he described as the company’s consistent commitment to integrity and transparent property transactions.

“Powell Homes and Shelters has built a name through its commitment to genuine property transactions and good relationships with its partners. The company has shown that real estate can be handled with transparency, responsibility and respect for clients,” he said.

He commended Emmanuel for introducing initiatives designed to empower staff, realtors and business partners, describing Powell Homes and Shelters as a growing force in Nigeria’s real estate industry.

The ROME Initiative, the company said, is designed to lower the financial barrier to property acquisition while providing buyers with flexible payment options and incentives to invest before the September 30, 2026 deadline.
