The family of Chief M.C.K. Orbih has announced the death of Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, who passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The deceased, who was described by the family as a beloved brother, husband, father and uncle, died at an undisclosed age.

The family made the announcement in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, expressing profound sadness over his death while affirming its submission to the will of Almighty God.

The statement, signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., on behalf of the Orbih family, said Chief Daniel’s death had left the family mourning a painful loss.

“With profound sadness and a heavy heart but in total submission to the will of the almighty God, the family of Chief M.C.K. Orbih announce the passing of our beloved brother, husband, father and uncle, Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, who passed away on Monday, 31 August 2026,” the statement said.

Chief Daniel is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih; his children, Ms. Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih; his brothers and sisters, as well as other members of the extended family.

The family appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they mourn the deceased.

“At this difficult time, we ask family members, friends and well-wishers to remember the entire family in their prayers as we mourn this painful loss,” it said.

The family said further details, including funeral arrangements, would be announced in due course.

The statement concluded with a prayer for the peaceful repose of Chief Daniel’s soul.
