The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, following an alleged child sexual abuse incident involving sex toys in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The arrest was made on Thursday evening, September 10, 2026, after police operatives acted on open-source intelligence concerning a disturbing video reportedly showing a woman allegedly using sex toys on a minor.

The operation also led to the rescue of four children, aged two, three, six and nine years respectively, while sex toys and other items believed to be relevant to the investigation were recovered.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement issued in Awka on September 10, saying the suspect was in police custody as investigations continued into the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and possible involvement of other persons.
Ikenga said the husband of the suspect was also being interrogated by the police to determine whether he had any connection with the alleged offence.
According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, was deeply disturbed by the allegation and had directed a thorough and professional investigation into the case.
The Commissioner, Ikenga said, described the alleged act as unacceptable, particularly because it involved the exploitation and abuse of children who were incapable of protecting themselves.
The police spokesperson said the Command’s priority extended beyond investigation and possible prosecution to ensuring the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the rescued children.
He said the Command would collaborate with appropriate child-protection and relevant support agencies to provide the children with necessary care, protection, counselling and other support required for their recovery.
Ikenga added that the identities and privacy of the children would be protected throughout the process, stressing that they would be treated with compassion and sensitivity.
The Command also commended vigilante operatives in the area, as well as bloggers and residents whose information, it said, assisted the investigation and led to the arrest of the suspect.
The police assured the public that investigations would continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the allegation and determine whether other individuals were involved.
