The Enugu State MSME and Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center) has strengthened support for local entrepreneurs through its MSME Equipment Support Grant, providing Nika Fashion Couture with productive equipment to expand its operations and improve service delivery.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the Enugu SME Center said the intervention was designed to help promising businesses overcome operational challenges, increase productivity, grow their income and create additional employment opportunities.
The agency said the support to Nika Fashion Couture was part of the Enugu State Government’s broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises across the state.
According to the statement, access to appropriate equipment would enable the fashion business to increase its productive capacity while creating opportunities that could benefit not only the entrepreneur but also employees, families and the wider community.
The Enugu SME Center quoted Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as committing in his manifesto that, “We shall incentivise entrepreneurship development at all stages… This will increase enterprise in the State and reduce youth unemployment.”
The agency said the intervention represented a practical demonstration of the governor’s commitment to entrepreneurship development, adding that equipping businesses with productive assets would help strengthen local enterprises and contribute to sustainable livelihoods.
The statement said the initiative reflects the administration’s approach to building a stronger Enugu economy by supporting productive enterprises and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand.
The Enugu SME Center stressed that its MSME Equipment Support Grant would continue to serve as an avenue for empowering businesses with the tools required to overcome operational constraints and achieve sustainable growth.
“This is how we build a stronger Enugu economy: one productive enterprise at a time,” the agency said.
