Former Imo State Governor and ex-Senator Rochas Okorocha was reportedly arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force at REIZ Continental Hotel in central Abuja on Monday night, October 12, 2026, over allegations of criminal conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.
According to TheSun, the arrest reportedly followed his failure to honour previous police invitations in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation, prompting the police to obtain a bench warrant for his arrest.
Okorocha was initially invited to the Force Headquarters in Abuja on September 2, 2026.
However, following a request by his lawyers, the appointment was rescheduled to September 8, but he allegedly failed to appear on the rescheduled date.
