FULL LIST: NDC Names Obi, Kwankwaso, Dickson, Others to Campaign Council

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its National Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, naming its National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, as chairman and presidential candidate Peter Obi as co-chairman.

The party also appointed its National Chairman and vice-presidential candidate, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, as vice-chairman, while Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was named co-vice-chairman.

The appointments were announced in a statement published on the party’s X account on Sunday, October 25, 2026, as the NDC steps up preparations for the 2027 polls.

The party’s National Secretary, Barr. Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, was named council secretary, while Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim was appointed Director-General of the presidential campaign.

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, was named chairman of the National Campaign Advisory Council, which includes former governors, political leaders and representatives from states across the country.

The party said the campaign council would coordinate its nationwide activities, provide strategic leadership and mobilise support for its vision of a “new, just, and prosperous Nigeria.”

According to the NDC, the campaign would be “people-centred and issue-based,” with a focus on engaging citizens and presenting its policy agenda ahead of the elections.

The party urged its members, supporters and Nigerians to remain united and focused as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.

“A new and working Nigeria is possible,” the party added.
