A delegation of Biafran politicians visited Chief Raph Uwazuruike (Ijele Ndi Igbo) in his Owerri residence on saturday, 10/11/2018. The delegates appealed to the leader of BIM/MASSOB to adopt Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor of National Conscience Party (NCP) for Anambra central senatorial election.
They stated that members of BIM/MASSOB and other Biafrans in politics will work for Mazi Obumneke and ensure his victory in 2019 general election if he is endorsed by Chief Raph Uwazuruike and other Biafran leaders.
While responding to appeals of the delegates, Chief Raph Uwazuruike said that Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor already has his blessings. He said “we would not have allowed Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor to talk to Biafrans and explain his objectives in Voice Of Biafra International (VOBI), Germany and Biafra Broadcasting Authourity (BBA) which are BIM/MASSOB stations. That is enough evidence that Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor already has my blessing.”
Speaking on behalf of the delegates, the leader, Lady Vera Onyeama who is also the Coordinator of MOBIN in Imo state, thanked Chief Raph Uwazuruike for welcoming them, giving them light refreshments and accepting Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor’s candidacy. She stated that the candidate will demand for Biafra’s freedom and freedom for other indigenous nationalities in Nigeria when he gets to senate.
