The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates, elders and stakeholders in Ikeja, Lagos, have declared that no stone would be upturned in their bid to record victory in 2019 general elections.
Hon. Olakunle Okunola, PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ikeja Constituency, said in a stakeholders meeting in Ikeja recently that the essence of the meeting was to rub minds on how the party would ensure that all the four contestants in the area worked as a team with the support of the elders and campaign committee which was inaugurated on that day to deliver the state and constituents to PDP.
Okunola said that PDP was one and that the aggrieved members had been assuaged and all they were looking forward to was victory for all the contestants and the governorship candidate in 2019.
“People are tired of All Progressives Congress’s (APC) deceit. Lagos State is under a siege and PDP has come on a rescue mission to deliver its people, here in Lagos State and the nation at large. PDP is well positioned to take over Aso Rock. We will get there because God is on our side, he will give us victory, and our part is to work in unity to be able to clinch it,” Okunola added.
Seye O’Dairo, candidate for Ikeja House of assembly, constituency 1, said with the inauguration, Ikeja had formed a formidable team of four to give good representation to Ikeja people, adding, “We will be accessible to the constituents; we will provide empowerment, skill acquisition. The vulnerable people will have a voice this time around,” he said.
