The former governor of Ondo state, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the Presidential candidate of one of the recently registered political parties, Zenith Labour Party, ZLP today dropped his ambition to contest for the president in the forthcoming general election.

The former governor stated this this evening and said that he answered the calls by his party and what his party wanted.

“This evening, I met with representatives and leaders of our great party, Zenith Labour Party.”

In his tweet on his official account, Dr. Mimiko said the decision to exit the presidential race was a collective decision of the party and he agreed in the ultimate interest of tne party.

“The decision to exit the 2019 presidential race and pick up the Ondo Central Senatorial ticket was a collective one and in the ultimate interest of our party, state and nation BecauseWeCare.”
