Another round of suicide case would have been recorded yesterday in Nsukka, Enugu state as a girl allegedly drank a substance believed to be the deadly Sniper insecticide.
It was gathered that on that fateful day, Saturday 7, in the morning, the victim identified as one Chinwendu Odoh, aged 24 years and hails from Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of the state had planned to take her own life.
Miss Odoh who is also said to be a 200-level microbiology student of University of Nigeria Nsukka had allegedly drank the poisonous substance with a view to taking her life before she was promptly rushed to Royal Cross Hospital Nsukka where she is being revived.
A full scale investigations are on now by the operatives of the Nsukka Division of the Nigeria Police Enugu State Command to unravel the mystery surrounding the attempted suicide just as information from some sympathizers are pointing towards depression over an age old unresolved issue(s). The victim is now responding to treatment.
