The People Democratic Party, PDP, is accusing the Appellate Court of frustrating their efforts to appeal the judgement that affirmed President Buhari as the winner of the February 23rd poll.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) had on 11th of September, dismissed in entirety, the petition of Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against President Muhammadu Buhari.

speaking at during an AIT live television programme “Focus Nigeria” on Friday morning, the PDP publicity secretary, Kola Olagbondiya accused the appeal court of deliberately frustrating their efforts to appeal the ruling which the PDP described as “travesty of justice” at the Supreme Court.

He said; “72 hours after the judgement was delivered, the court of appeal has refused to make available, the Certified True Copy, CTC to us, to proceed to the Supreme Court.

“Out of the 14 days required by law for us to appeal the judgement, 3 days is gone.”

He went further to call on Nigerians to tell the Court of Appeal to do the needful and allow them file their appeal within the time stipulated by the law.
