Fidelity Advert

There seems to be fresh troubles for the Bayelsa All Progressive Congress, APC, as the Federal High Court in Abuja has disqualified the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Biobarakuma Degi from participating in the state’s forthcoming governship election scheduled to take place on the 16th of November, 2019.

Justice Inyang Ekwo in a suit on Tuesday disqualied the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, over false information in his CF0001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC) to contest the election.

The judge held that his documents bore different names and on that ground disqualified him for tendering false document to the Electoral body.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had sued the Bayelsa APC governorship candidate, David Lyon, his deputy, Degi-Eremienyo and INEC, seeking the disqualification of Degi-Eremienyo.
