Ahead of the upcoming one-million man march against cultism and other vices organized by Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, POCACOV, with support from the Nigeria Policing Programme, Ministry of Youths and Sports and other relevant stake holders, the Enugu state chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Hon Dr Dominic Ezema has thrown his weight behind the March in the state which he described as “laudable.”

According to him; “The leadership of PCRC have resolved to mobilize over two thousand of her members for the exercise.”

Dr. Ezema disclosed this on Monday, 11th November, 2019, during an interaction with the today National Coordinator of POCACOV, SP, Ebere Amaraizu in Enugu shortly after the stakeholders meeting on the review of the state policing plan for 2019 and development of 2020 policing plan organized by the Enugu state police command and supported by the Nigeria policing programme held at Bon Hotel Sunshine Enugu.

Responding, the National Coordinator of POCACOV, SP, Ebere Amaraizu thanked him for the assurance and partnership and hinted that the event which will be happening in Enugu on the 7th of December, 2019 will also be graced by community safety partners, community based organizations and community safety officers already established in various communities in line with the tenets of community oriented policing and they will be coming in their large numbers amongst other stake holders.

POCACOV is the initiative of the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU aimed at saving Nigerian youth from the claws of cultism and other vices, re-orientating those found in the bandwagon and thereby making them better citizens to contribute their quota in the growth and development of the society.

POCACOV is community driven to galvanize stake holders support in line with the tenets of community oriented policing to reduce the incidences of cultism and other vices .
