The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called for an emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee(NEC) of the party.
According to a special announcement signed by Sen. Umaru Ibrahim Tsauri, CON, the National Secretary of the party, the meeting is scheduled to hold tomorrow, Friday, 17th January, 2020 at the NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja by 10 a.m.
Though the announcement said the state of the nation is their major discuss, one of the party leaders said what happened at the Supreme Court on Tuesday about Imo Guber is top on the list.
The source went on to disclose that the party is afraid that a similar fate might befall the party at Sokoto and Bauchi states on Monday when the Supreme Court delivers judgement on the appeals against the victories of the party at the pool.
Another source told Journalist101 that there’s a renewed call for the current leadership of the party to step aside as the fortune of the party is deteriorating under their watch but couldn’t confirm if that will be discussed by the NEC on Friday.
