The national executive council (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been postponed.

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu, announced this after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja.

Bagudu said President Buhari was pleased to endorse the suggestion to postpone the NEC meeting.

On Sunday, Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the ruling party, had described the meeting as illegal.

Supporters of Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the APC, had said those plotting to oust him were behind the meeting.
