In a move aimed at alleviating the effect of the ongoing lockdown and mitigating the suffering some youths and less privileged on the society, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) will be supporting Eze Okey Okah Foundation in the distribution of some relief materials such as food items, hand sanitizers and other materials on Wednesday, 8th April, 2020.

According to the National coordinator POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu, the foundation will be joined by POCACOV/Anti cult team at Elele Zone Rivers state led by DSP Yusuf Abdullahi Idi. The outreach will cover Elele, Elele Alimini, Imagwa all in Ikwerre local government as well as in Egbega community in Emohua local Government Area of Rivers state.

Amaraizu further hinted that Eze Okey Okah is a strong stakeholder in POCACOV within Elele zone, Rivers state and has initially distributed, through the support of POCACOV hand sanitizers and other materials and sensitizing members of the public on the need to adhere to prescribed safety precautions aimed at containing and curbing the menace of covid 19 pandemic in the country and to remain safe at all time on the 26th of March, 2020.

The distribution of the relief materials will be concentrated on the identified less privileged and some youths at this period of lockdown.

POCACOV is the initiative of the Nigeria police force under the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU anchored on the principle of community oriented policing tenets and involving different stakeholders using community oriented approaches in solving problem like cultism, associated violence and other vices.
