Over three hundred bags of Rice were on 29th of April, 2020 distributed to vulnerable persons which includes aged men and women of Olofia/Umudum villages of Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state.

This was made possible through efforts of a POCACOV stakeholder; Chief Obiano Michael -Chuks Canada foundation (Ozopuluiniego Na Africa) in his efforts to sensitise the people about COVID-19 and distribute material relief in conjunction with the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

According to the POCACOV stakeholder Chief Obiano; “this is my own little way of reaching out to the vulnerable persons especially the vulnerable persons in order to cushion the effect of the lock down occasioned by the outbreak of the COVID-19.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed joy and thanked the foundation for the outreach and prayed for Gods’ mercy and blessings on the sponsor of the initiative.

In his reaction, the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked Chief Obiano (Chuks Canada) for his partnership which led to the successful conduct of the COVID-19 sensitization and material relief outreach program in the area and further spoke on the need to adhere strictly to various safety precautionary measures rolled out by the government, NCDC and world health organizations aimed at containing and curtailing the spread of the virus.
