The wait is finally over for the residents of Enugu as the state has joined her Imo and Ebonyi States brothers in having a testing centre for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new centre is the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Ituku Ozalla and will form the third testing centre in the South East region of Nigeria.
ThIs was disclosed by the Chief Medical Director of UNTH, Dr Obinna Onodugo in a message to the staff of the hospital. He also disclosed that the personnel has already been trained on the testing over the weekend.
Also, the hospital will form one of the isolation centres in the state for positive cases as testing is expected to commence tomorrow; Monday 22nd June, 2020.
This is coming as a big relief because the hospital since the outbreak of the pandemic, became notorious for rejecting patients which caused several deaths.
