TATA, as he is fondly called by friends and supporters has carried out a lot of unparalleled actions in Enugu North Council Area since he assumed office as the city Mayor.
It is very pertinent and factual to note that, having a politically experienced man in the position of power is quite different from having a man with a golden hearted spirit towards alleviating and solving the problems of the masses when elected into office.
Without mincing words, as a political upright man and ardent supporter of good governance in politics cum accountability and transparency in government. I think therefore that, Hon. Emeka Onunze, the Ezeomoge 1 of Nkanu land has for long equipped himself with numerous and amazing political experience, strategies and of a willing heart to render fraternal and selfless services, as if he knew that, a time like this shall come for him to aptly occupy the seat of power in Enugu North Local Government Council. And this however encapsulates the saying that, ” one ought to be prepared and wait for opportunities to come and not allowing opportunity to acquaint us unprepared”.
However, been a man that love’s peace, as a successful business guru cum political acumen personality, who is happily married with children. Hon. Onunze has proven to have gathered a lot of mountainous and whopping experiences in terms of leadership skills; both in public office as a former ward councillor and in private sectors as a frugal business mogul. Which had yielded him the best needed political and economic management analysis, for the building of a better Enugu North within the shortest period in the office.
Also, going by his quantum wealth of knowledge and familiarities with the political indies and landscape of Enugu North and of her phenomenons, many leaders of reputes as well as scholars of many thoughts in various endeavors within and outside Enugu North, have unleashed their votes of confidence on the tireless and workaholic Chairman, for a fact that, both members of PDP and none PDP are now benefiting and enjoying his unprecedented leadership skills cum philanthropic gestures, thus, giving them the willingness to further support him in a bid for him to continue delivering the dividend’s of good governance within the council as a boundless and tenacious chairman.
Indeed, record speaks, and going by Hon. Emeka Onunze’s tracks of records, even the blind or the doubting Thomases would affirm that, the man in question has unquestionable character and clean records even when he worked as a former ward councillor. Apart from his clean records, Hon. ONUNZE (TATA) is known to be a man of few words but his actions speaks louder than words in various meaningful ventures and his humility is second to none, which every one can testify to this obvious and reliable facts.
However, a quick survey at his achievement as a silent achiever is not far fetched from his magnanimous ability towards alleviating the hunger syndromes which were brought by the outbreak of the global pandemic. Hon. Onunze however, shouldered the expenses of sharing a whopping and never expected food items across the thirteen wards of Enugu North, to help cushion the hunger and starvation issues which the globe pandemic disease brought on the people unexpectedly, especially to the indigent and vulnerable ones in the society.
Furthermore, Hon. Onunze, as a man who love’s and cherish peace, has equally contributed massively on the security of lives and properties in Enugu North. This was recorded with his good relationship with different security operatives within the council of Enugu North, such as Nigeria police force, Neighborhood watch and other private security agencies to ensure that, the lives and properties of those residing in his jurisdiction are well protected and not been exposed to any form of internal or external dangers.
Throwing more facts, as a way to buttress the above opined points, it is pertinent to recount that, the political vision of Hon. Emeka Onunze to the people and residents of Enugu North still includes, fidelity to internal democracy and participation of all members of goodwill in Enugu North politics, to ensure that, Enugu North is engulfed with the absolute principle of equity, justice, fairness and mutual respect cum peaceful coexistence among the servant leaders alike, and for the maintaining of all governmental polices for public implementations leading to a hike of transparencies and credibility over choices and recommendations we tend to make as a people of one vision.
Conclusively, a critical look at the above points towards the definition of a visionary and a prudent leader. In the same vein, having been the former ward councillor, I have no doubt that, Hon. Emeka Onunze (TATA) knowns the strength, weaknesses, needs and desires of the people of Enugu North and best way to handle all these, and this knowledge has prompted him to always unleash the salaries of the workers of Enugu North on or before 25th of every month, which is rare in Nigeria as a whole, so as to achieve optimum results in his servant leader approach, for a better posterity.
Thus, I apparently believe that, Hon. Emeka Onunze will surely be one of the best local government chairman Enugu North has ever had, if not across Enugu State as a man of tenacious ability and charismatic political assuming personality.
In summary, all these and many others that are yet to be revealed are the unpardonable and and unparalleled offenses committing by the talk and deliver Chairman of Enugu North local government council, Rt. Hon. Emeka Onunze, which are not rare among other leaders of repute today.
