Nigerian international footballer, Chikeluba Ofoedu Francis is the newest ambassador of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

The Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israel, footballer was unveiled at the IGP M.A Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre, Enugu by the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu on Wednesday, 21st July, 2020.

Amaraizu said the Anambra state-born footballer has been a role model to many youths and thus, qualifies to be one of the ambassadors of the initiative while outlining what is expected of him as an ambassador.

“As an Ambassador of POCACOV, Chikeluba is expected to use his network and influence to help deepen the message of POCACOV.

“We are confident that he will bring in his wealth of experience in interaction with the youths and follow all the guidelines as contained in the guide for ambassadors.”

In his reaction, Chikeluba expressed his satisfaction for being honoured as one of the ambassadors and thanked the Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Adamu, for the programme.

The footballer also said he is pleased with what POCACOV is doing; helping the youths redirect their steps to be better citizens and this resonates with his desire to help the youths in the best way he can.

Chikeluba joins the likes of Chika Okpala, Nkem Owoh (Osuofia), Daramola, Mutiu Adepoju, Maureen(of Super Falcons), Didi and a host of others as Ambassadors.
