•Dedicates award to Gov Ugwuanyi

The Enugu State Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Surv. Dr Victor Nnam has been conferred with the prestigious honorary award of ‘Integrity Service Ambassador’ by the Centre for Peace and Value Reorientation.

The Executive Director, Centre for Peace and Value Reorientation, Comrade Oyibo. A. Abraham in his remark, said “this occasion could not have come at a better time than now, considering the fact that Enugu State is on the threshold of rapid social and economic development through the implementation of transformation agenda of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi which is geared towards achieving the objectives of the State Vision 20:20.”

Oyibo further described Nnam as a man who has stood beyond all odds, having distinguished himself through the patriotic discharge of his assigned duties.

According to him, “Nnam is a silent and dedicated public servant, very calm but productive.”

Furthermore, he stated that their confidential independent assessment exercise conducted on the State Ministries, South-East geo-political zone, Enugu State Ministry of Lands and Urban Development, under the stewardship of the commissioner, came out very outstanding in their assessment.

“His performances such as display of ethical leadership, development policy, public accessibility, Servicom compliance and commitment to the state government transformation agenda, being satisfied with all assessment and opinion polls, made him outstanding.

“Therefore, the organization is left with no option than to proclaim and induct him with the title ‘Service Ambassador’ and the formal presentation of the award ‘Certificate of Integrity Stewardship’ for scoring 95 percent in ten sectors he was assessed in,” Oyibo added.

In his acceptance speech, the awardee, Nnam, thanked the non-governmental organization for finding him worthy to bestow on him the prestigious award.

He, however, attributed the honour to the governor, for his administrative policy, and also promised to be more patriotic and dedicated in line with the governor’s support in upgrading land administration towards the rapid development of the state.
