Mr. Flavor Eze, the Personal Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been accused of diverting the palliative made available for Enugu State by the federal government, through the Minister; Geoffrey Onyeama.
A member of the party, Mr Peter Ilo in a petition to the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Barr. Ben Nwoye, accused Mr. Eze of diverting the palliative to “his friends and relatives.”
Mr. Peter Ilo who’s from Egede ward in Udi LG of Enugu state in the petition alleged that: “The palliative meant for good people of Enugu state and non party members was diverted by Mr Flavor Eze to his friends and relatives outside the directive of the leadership of our party and presidency.”
Also in the petition dated 26th October, 2020, Mr. Ilo said he has witnesses to his allegation and they are raedy to appear before any committee if they’re called to do so by the party.
A chieftain of the party that spoke to JOURNALIST101 collaborated Mr Ilo’s petition adding the Mr. Eze did two things with the palliative.
“He converted a part of the items for his personal use, shared some to his friends and family and then, repackaged the other half and shared it as a palliative from the Minister’s political foundation.
“He packaged it, printed the Minister’s image in the items and distributed same at Okpara Square in the first week of May, 2020 and one Mr. Okey Ogbodo stood in for the Minister,” the party chieftain who doesn’t want his name in print said.
When contacted, Enugu APC party chairman, Barr Nwoye said he will not comment on the matter he has handed the petition over to the recently constituted disciplinary committee headed by Chief Anike Nwoga, for further action.
All attempts to get Mr. Eze to react to the allegation failed as he’s yet to reply to the SMS sent to his mobile line.
This petition is coming at a time the youths are on rampage across the nation looking for palliatives stored in warehouses.
