The Biafra Nations League, BNL, formerly Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has confirmed the backing of the movement for self-determination in Nigeria by African Americans.

Speaking during a press briefing in Calabar, Cross River State, National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard disclosed the existing collaboration with African Americans under the auspices of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Community League, UNIAACL – and Egbe Abantu Cieng Limbog EACL based in America.

According to the National Leader of BNL, UNIAACL – EACL is a league of indigenous black kingdoms and villages in partnership with African diaspora seeking to integrate Africa into one and welcoming African Americans home to receive indigenous government citizenship and land to build their own estates and governments, it is founded by Marcus Garvey , “We introduce some symbology and precepts of Marcus Garvey to indigenous law systems.”

He noted that the Biafran flag which has rising sun originated from the UNIAACL flag which has no rising sun on it.

“We have been working with African Americans who fights to protect Blacks’ interest in the world, the UNIAACL EACL was a movement of Blacks founded by Marcus Garvey of Jamaica, they have been aiding our struggle to reverse the colonial order.

“They also want to partner with all the traditional institutions in Biafraland starting from here in Calabar.”

Meanwhile, BNL, has described as false the indictment of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, over the weekend bombing of Governor Nyesom Wike’s father’s Church in Port Harcourt, by the Police in Rivers State.

He disclosed that the arrested persons were not working for Biafra, he stated that being followers of Biafran movement does not make them members or active participants of the group.
