Dr. Ben Nwoye, the Enugu APC Caretaker Committee Chairman has reiterated the seriousness of their party in taking over the seat of power in Enugu State- Lion Building, come 2023.

Speaking at Obeagu Awkunanaw on Sunday, while receiving Hon. Monday Ogbonna (Okwadike) who decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Ben Nwoye said; “We are serious not just about 2023 Presidency but also taking over Enugu Lion Building.

“We are serious in talking to the women, youths and everyone we need in our quest to turn APC into the ruling party in Enugu state in the next general election,” Nwoye said.

In welcoming the new members into their party, the APC Chairman encouraged them to keep the fire burning as change is on the way and the change will affect them positively.

Former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani who also graced the occasion said: “The broom revolution in the state is imminent following the failure of the PDP leadership.

Senator Nnamani who was represented by Hon. Emma Okenwa, former Enugu South local government chairman also described the APC as a “train that’s moving with a high speed and Obeagu people are enjoined to get on board before its too late.”

While calling on them to get involved in the registration process of the party, he emphasised that contrary to the falsehood being spread by opposition parties, “APC doesn’t belong to any section of the country and the road to 2023 Igbo Presidency will be smoother if you mobilize your people to join the party.”

In his speech after signing the membership register of the APC and collecting the party’s constitution, Hon. Monday Ogbonna said the best way he can express how feels is by working tirelessly for the party.

Okwadike, while extolling the the state party chairman for his “unparalleled dedication to the service of APC”, said Dr. Nwoye is one of the reasons he’s joining the party.

On his reason for leaving the PDP, he said; “I had to leave the party because I can’t be under the umbrella and at the same time, be drenched. I needed to seek protection because it’s obvious I wasn’t.

He assured the leadership of the party that he will mobilise the entire Obeagu ward III for the APC.
