As part of measures outlined to deepen the campaign message of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) for Value Reorientation and Strategic Leadership directionbfor safer school and community, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) on February 25, embarked on school visitation at Queens Model Secondary School by Oneday, Agbani Road Enugu, to engage students on the need to be a champion by saying ‘NO’ to cultism and other vices.

Students were also exposed to various career opportunities in the Nigeria Police Force and charged to continue to be law-abiding and never to yield to any pressure from peers or environmental factors, amongst others but to continue to work hard, remain focus and purposeful to achieve their set goals and dreams thus becoming meaningful to themselves as well as contributing meaningfully to the development of the society.

Taking them on the Roadmap to be a champion, the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu reminded the students on the consequences of cultism, substance and drug abuse, examination malpractice, violent and other anti-social behaviours and charged them to be law abiding, disciplined, engaging themselves on meaningful ventures and avoid cutting corners.

During the school visitation programme, POCACOV fan club/school chess game members for safer school/community were inaugurated and to be coordinated by the safety and security education teacher of the school.

Responding, some of the school children expressed happiness with the visit which they described as an eyeopener to things that could lead them astray and also that which has enabled them to understand the Nigeria Police Force and their roles.
