….Urges Ndi-Anambra to keep supporting Obiano to do more
As Ndi-Anambra marks the Seventh year anniversary of His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Willie M. Obiano, as the Executive Governor of the State and Chief (Dr.) Nkem Okeke as his Deputy, his Special Assistant on Media, Amb. Adichie Izuchukwu has called on ndi-Anambra youths to join him in the third largest political party in Nigeria and the state leading party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance -APGA.
He urged ndi-Anambra and it’s residents to keep supporting the administration of Governor Obiano to deliver more, stating that His Excellency and his team has delivered on capital projects across the state, notwithstanding the “economic force majeure” that ravaged the global economy and Nigeria as an oil producing country, twice during “Akpokuodike’s administration”
In a statement made available to newsmen, Amb Adichie who was former Chief Media Aide to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP before retuning back to his root, APGA, stated that opposition parties in the state doesn’t have any leadership and entrepreneurship plans for youths of the state and therefore, they (youths) should join him in APGA as ndi-Anambra set to make another history in electing a new Governor on the platform of the All Progressives Party, APGA In November 6, 2021 gubernatorial election.
Affirming that his party, APGA will win the upcoming guber election, he maintained that the good people of Anambra state are going to vote for the next APGA government based on the strength that Governor Obiano has creditably done well in his seven years in office.
He said, “APGA governments in Anambra has always delivered. His Excellency, Governor Obiano’s seven years in office has proven another APGA success story, even with little, he outperformed in the midst of global economic crisis ranging from global pandemic Covid-19 that forced countries to close down, global fall in oil prices and recession that hit Nigeria twice in 2016 and 2020, indeed he has delivered on his campaign promises, he has broken records, set new records and broke them again. I’m optimistic of another 21 over 21.
According to Amb. Adichie, Governor Obiano’s administration has created Anambra of our own. A state where legacy infrastructural projects could be seen, felt and touched. Legacy projects such as: the Anambra International Cargo Airport located at Umueri, the Anambra International Conference Centre located in Awka, the City Stadium located in Awka, the beautification and making of Awka as a worthy capital city with three (3) beautiful flyovers in Amawbia, kwatta and Aroma and other 12 bridges across the State. The Governor who has delivered on the social well-being of ndi-Anambra, on educational services, health care deliveries, has equally constructed 1000km of roads to open up new areas for accessibility and an improved economic activities. With another of his initiative, the state has speedily been lightened-up, this has brought back night life in the city capital and help restore the security situation across the 181 communities, thus, the state is regarded as the crime-free, the safest state in Nigeria and investors first choice state.
Known for breaking records, Akpokuedike has revived rural and urban electrification, improving the state’s electricity. The administration has revived many water scheme which aided provision of a hygienic pipe borne water to ndi-Anambra. Notwithstanding there’s a huge drop in the poverty index rating of the state within 10 years, Adichie maintained that Governor Obiano has sponsored the completion of over 600 developmental community-based projects through Community choose your project initiative.
Amb Adichie while urging ndi-Anambra to take advantage of
the Creative Economy and Digital Entrepreneurship in Obiano’s administration, has commended the Governor on his giant strides in Youth Economy, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Proven that Obiano is committed to exceptionalities and wants the best for the future generations, Amb Adichie has hailed the Governor’s efforts in setting up the State Development Plan Committee that’ll strategize and come up with a 50-year development plan for the state.
In conclusion, he prayed that Governor Obiano’s remaining year in office shall witness more consolidation on growth and development, urged ndi-Anambra to keep supporting APGA so as to witness a continous sustainable development.
