Information reaching JOURNALIST101 right now is that the Enugu headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has been attacked by hoodlums.
The attack happened around 10pm on Sunday, 16th May, 2021
An eyewitness account said the Eye witness informed our correspondent that the hoodlums set operational vehicle in the commission ablaze.
“The hoodlums came in a small bus numbering over 7.
“They succeeded in burning over 5 hulix vans in the premises but the building is still intact as they were in a hurry to leave the scene before reinforcement arrived,” the source said.
There was no casualty from the attack and men of Enugu State Fire Service are currently at the scene to put off the fire.
When contacted, the Enugu State Public Relations Officer, ASP Ndukwe Daniel promised to get back to our reporter when he has details of what happened.
