Former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha has said that the Governor Hope Uzodinma hates him so much for reasons he can’t explain.

Okorocha said when the Governor started acting initially, he (Rochas) thought Governor Hope was “acting on a script, that he had people behind him” but as he continued to act, I got confused as to what he’s driving at.

Okorocha stated this while appearing on Channels Television’s programme ‘Sunday Politics’ monitored by our correspondent.

According to Okorocha: “Governor Hope Uzodimma hates me with passion, he just hates me, I don’t know the reason he has been fighting me but never a day have i fought him and I made it a point of duty that I will never fight back.

“But he just shows hatred and envy, I don’t know why or for what reason and he doesn’t seem to be changing, he’s not relenting.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with him, if I know, I would have done something… but I see hatred, and I know if I engage him, that will create even more problem in the state I have suffered to build… So I must be a Father,” Okorocha said.

The former Governor and the current Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District also accused the Gov. Hope of arresting some of his aides without any reason known to him yet.

“…as I speak to you now, my drivers and my security men have been arrested for the past five days and kept in a police station and nothing said about it. I hope they’re trying to find out whether they are members of IPOB or Boko Haram, I don’t know what is it.

Speaking on the issue of insecurity in the state, Sen. Okorocha said if Gov Hope had invited him, he would have given him some ideas on how to solve the problem.

“If Gov Hope had invited me, I would have told him some of the ways we have handled this.”
