…Takes care of medical bills of the survivors
The Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited the scene of the unfortunate accident which occurred this evening at Nza Street, Independence Layout, Enugu.
Journalist101 had reported an accident involving a truck vehicle (Water tanker) and Tricycles (KEKE), which left so many persons dead.
Journalist101 also learnt that the casualty figure increased to 6 and the truck which caused the unfortunate incident was set ablaze by the angry mob.
The visibly sad Governor accompanied by his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, thereafter, proceeded to Posh Hospital, New Haven, Enugu, to empathize with the survivors and ensure that they receive adequate medical attention.
He therefore pledged to pay all medical bills of the accident victims and consequently made sufficient funds available with the hospital management to ensure the patients were properly treated without any hindrance.
Ugwuanyi went further to condole with the families of victims who lost their lives in the accident and thanked those who rescued the survivors and brought them to the hospital for being Good Samaritans.
