Atleast one person has been feared dead, and others reportedly injured following an explosion that rocked at Idoji area of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Reports says the incident occured at about 6 p.m. On Thursday.
This is coming few days after a similar explosion occurred in a beer parlour in Kabba, leaving no fewer than 11 persons injured.
An eyeywitess in the area revealed that some people were celebrating the annual Echane festival when the explosion occurred.
According to the source, one person who was seriously injured died while being rushed to the hospital.
He added that a man lost his legs from the explosion with several others badly injured.
Police Public Relation Officer, SP William Ovye Aya confirmed that there was an explosion in Okene where some people were injured.
He added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Edward Egbuka had deployed Police bomb expert to the scene of the explosion for proper investigation.
