The people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State have lauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his outstanding leadership since taking office, particularly for enabling them to have their first traditional ruler in over 24 years.
His Royal Highness, Igwe Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr., conveyed this sentiment in a goodwill statement issued to journalists on Monday, extending heartfelt congratulations to the governor on his 53rd birthday.
Igwe Ogbonna emphasised that Governor Mbah’s administration has ushered in joy, peace, and progress for the people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese. He specifically highlighted the successful conduct of their long-awaited traditional leadership election, which has restored their cultural structure and strengthened unity within the community.
The monarch further commended the governor for initiating transformative projects in the area, noting that the ongoing construction of a Type 2 hospital in Ogugu Ntu-egbenese exemplifies the government’s commitment to enhancing the lives of rural residents. He remarked that upon completion, this project will significantly improve healthcare access for the people.
In his closing remarks, Igwe Ogbonna prayed for God’s guidance and protection over Governor Mbah, expressing the unwavering support of the Ogugu Ntu-egbenese people for the governor’s vision of advancing Enugu State to new heights.
