The Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of travelers from Northern Nigeria in Udune Efandion community of Uromi, Edo State.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, who chairs the forum, described the attack as a gross violation of human rights, emphasizing that such extrajudicial violence is unacceptable and must be severely condemned.¹

The forum expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and those affected by the tragic incident.

Governor Yahaya urged the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, identify the perpetrators, and bring them to justice swiftly.

He reiterated that all Nigerians should be able to travel freely and safely without fear of harassment, violence, or intimidation.

The governor appealed for calm while urging the government and law enforcement agencies to take swift action to prevent such incidents from recurring.
