The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made significant progress in its fight against internet fraud, with the recent arrest of 98 suspects across Enugu and Kwara states.

In Enugu, operatives from the Enugu Zonal Directorate apprehended 51 individuals, comprising three females and 48 males, in the Premier Layout area of the state capital. The operation yielded substantial evidence, including 18 luxury vehicles, several laptop computers, and high-end mobile phones.

Meanwhile, in Kwara, the Ilorin Zonal Directorate arrested 47 suspects along Awolowo Road, Tanke, and Harmony Estate, as well as in the Ganmo and Amoyo areas of Ifelodun Local Government. Authorities recovered 10 luxury cars, 74 high-end mobile phones, 18 laptops, and a motorcycle from the suspects.

These arrests were made following credible intelligence linking the individuals to various fraudulent internet activities. The suspects are expected to face charges in court upon the completion of ongoing investigations.
