“This special season reminds us of the power of faith, sacrifice, and total obedience to the will of the Almighty Allah,” he stated. “As you gather with loved ones, may your hearts be filled with joy, peace, and gratitude.”

Igwe Ogbonna emphasized that Eid al-Adha is more than just a celebration; it is a time to embrace kindness, share with the less privileged, and promote communal harmony.

“The lessons from the life of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose willingness to sacrifice his son stands as a shining example of faith, should guide us all in our daily lives,” he said. “Let this celebration renew our hearts towards patience, humility, and love for one another.”

Speaking to the broader needs of society, the royal father stressed the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in addressing social challenges.

“At a time when our society is in need of healing and hope, the spirit of Eid teaches us to look beyond our personal interests and extend a helping hand to the needy,” he declared. “Let us use this opportunity to reach out to our neighbours, forgive past wrongs, and build bridges of peace across our communities.”

Praying for divine blessings upon the Muslim faithful, Igwe Ogbonna expressed hope that the festival would bring transformation and joy to every home.

“I pray that Allah showers His blessings upon every Muslim home, granting you good health, success, and protection. May your prayers and sacrifices be accepted, and may this Eid bring positive change into your lives and families,” he added.

He concluded by calling for continued peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of all faiths:
“Let us all continue to live together in peace and respect for our different beliefs.”
