Group Launches Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-Election in Enugu
A pro-Tinubu political group, South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has launched a grassroots mobilisation campaign across the South East to galvanize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The group, led by its National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, inaugurated the Enugu State chapter on Friday during an event in Enugu that also featured an empowerment programme for members.
Addressing the large crowd at the event, Enwere said the initiative was designed to promote the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.
“This initiative was conceived to showcase the progress and development of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Supporters and stakeholders were drawn from Enugu State, all the local governments in the state, as well as all the wards.
“We are all united with a resolve for a better future through a people-oriented administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The strides recorded so far on the economy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and notable achievements in education, health, infrastructure, housing, power, etc., should be commended.”
Enwere highlighted the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) as a key achievement of Tinubu’s administration for the region.
“With the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), which is now fully operational, opportunities for growth and addressing pressing challenges in the region will be unlocked,” he added.
Charging the newly inaugurated Enugu chapter, Enwere urged members to be worthy representatives of the group.
“As we inaugurate/empower the Enugu State chapter here today, I charge you to be good ambassadors of South East Renewed Hope and champions of the values of good governance of this administration.
“It is therefore my honour and pleasure to inaugurate the executive and members of this Coal City State as Marshals of the South East Renewed Hope Agenda to the glory of God and benefit of Nigerians.
“We know that with the president at the helm of affairs, the South East will be developed. The South East will benefit from the dividends of democracy and our people will be blessed.”
On the empowerment aspect of the programme, Enwere said financial support and equipment were provided to hundreds of beneficiaries.
“Our people are happy that they are empowered. 100 persons got N200,000, 200 people got N100,000. We have 300 people for N50,000 and N20,000 for indigent persons. All these are to support their businesses.
“We have rice, sewing machines, grinding machines, motorcycles, and hair dressing machines for our people in the South East, courtesy of Mr President who said he wants the dividends of democracy to tilt down to the grassroots.
“These are the people from different communities and wards in Enugu State. We have over 1,000 beneficiaries here,” he said.
