Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has sworn in Hon. Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), signaling what he described as a renewed commitment to delivering quality governance to the people of the state.
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Monday the Government House , marks another strategic step in strengthening the governor’s administrative team to drive development priorities across the state.
“Today, I swore in Hon. Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government. This is to consolidate our administration’s determination of delivering utmost service to our people,” Governor Fubara stated on his official X handle.
Shortly after the event, the governor inspected progress on the 50.15-kilometer Port Harcourt Ring Road — one of the administration’s flagship infrastructure projects.
He visited the Eneka axis of the site, where construction giant Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has resumed work to accelerate the pace of the project.
“I also took out time to inspect our most prized landmark project, the 50.15 kilometer Port Harcourt Ring Road. I visited the Eneka section where Julius Berger Nigeria PLC has returned to recommence work at the site. As we had assured Rivers people, we are indeed committed to completing the project,” the governor affirmed.
The Port Harcourt Ring Road is expected to ease traffic congestion, open new economic corridors, and enhance connectivity across the state when completed.
Governor Fubara reiterated that his administration remains focused on infrastructure renewal and good governance, assuring Rivers people of timely delivery of ongoing projects.
