Former Anambra State governor and 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting with diplomats from key foreign missions in Abuja.

According to a post on X by his former campaign photographer, Esther Umoh, the meeting involved “representatives from several diplomatic missions, including the British High Commissioner, and the embassies of Germany, Canada, and France.”

While details of the discussions were not disclosed, the engagement signals continued diplomatic interactions between Obi and members of the international community.

Umoh did not specify the agenda of the meeting, and there was no official statement from Obi at the time of filing this report.

The meeting took place in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, and comes amid ongoing political and policy conversations involving major stakeholders ahead of future national developments.
