Pastor and relationship coach Kingsley Okonkwo has launched a Christian matchmaking platform offering singles seeking marriage access to mentoring and potential partners, with its top-tier package costing as much as N700,000.
Okonkwo, the Lead Pastor of David’s Christian Centre (DCC), unveiled the platform, Mentor To Marry, in a series of social media posts, presenting it as a structured community for Christian singles who desire intentional relationships and marriage.
According to Okonkwo, the platform is a “guided marriage-preparation and matching community for serious Christian singles who desire intentional, Kingdom-minded marriages.”
The relationship coach said the initiative was created amid what he described as the increasing commercialisation of relationships, particularly the difficulty some single men face in finding women.
Okonkwo argued that relationships in the present generation are increasingly influenced by financial considerations rather than genuine friendship and emotional connection.
He said the platform is open to men across different social and financial statuses who are seeking marriage.
Checks on the platform showed that applicants can choose from three categories — Regular, Premium and VIP — with different levels of access and services.
The Regular package costs N70,000 and includes eight weeks of mentoring classes and access to a limited selection of profiles.
The Premium package is priced at N350,000 and comes with additional benefits, including membership of a private group and greater access than the regular package.
At the top end, the VIP package costs N700,000 and offers access to global profiles.
The launch has generated attention because of the cost attached to the platform’s premium matchmaking services, particularly the N700,000 VIP category, while Okonkwo says the initiative is aimed at helping serious Christian singles navigate relationships and prepare intentionally for marriage.
