Enugu
The Enugu State Government has launched a free digital business growth opportunity aimed at helping entrepreneurs in the state expand their customer base, improve online visibility and access markets beyond their immediate communities.

The initiative, known as the Enugu TradEX Programme, is designed to support traders, artisans, fashion designers, farmers, manufacturers, service providers and other small and medium-sized business owners in taking their businesses online.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the Enugu State SME Centre said selected businesses under the programme would receive professional online storefronts, digital business and marketing support, assistance with receiving digital payments, as well as training on e-commerce and accessing wider markets.

The statement said the programme was intended to help entrepreneurs in the state move beyond dependence on physical markets and connect with customers across Nigeria and beyond.

“Don’t wait for customers to find you by chance. Put your business where more customers can find you,” the statement urged prospective beneficiaries.

The government said participation in the programme is 100 per cent free, although slots are limited.

Eligible business owners can register through the Enugu SME Centre’s online portal at https://enugusme.en.gov.ng/etp.

For enquiries, applicants can call 08028545013 or 09128954467, while WhatsApp enquiries can be sent to 09169328543 or 09069200595. Applicants can also contact the organisers via [email protected].

The initiative is part of efforts to strengthen the digital capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state and enable local businesses to take advantage of the growing digital economy.
