The campaign organisation of Ifeanyichukwu Nnamani has kicked off its rural market tour in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, commencing the grassroots mobilisation exercise at the popular Nkwo Akpugo Market.
The Director-General of the campaign organisation, Chief Chuks Nneji, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, describing the inaugural outing as an opportunity for the campaign to directly engage petty traders, market women and youths as part of its grassroots campaign activities.
Nneji said the market tour was designed to take the campaign message to rural communities while highlighting the programmes and projects of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and mobilising support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates at various levels.
According to him, the campaign organisation used the opening tour at Nkwo Akpugo to engage traders and other residents through interactive activities, including a question-and-answer session on projects executed by the state government in their respective wards.
He said more than 30 petty traders also received business support grants through an open and transparent raffle draw organised during the market engagement.
Nneji added that the event featured a best-dancer competition, with special prizes also presented to traders who correctly identified at least one project executed by Governor Mbah in their wards.
He said the activities were intended to deepen the campaign’s engagement with the grassroots and further project the administration’s achievements to residents in rural communities.
“This initiative is aimed at further projecting and amplifying the unprecedented achievements of His Excellency across all strata of governance to the grassroots, while also sensitizing and mobilizing the people in support of the APC candidates,” Nneji said.
The Director-General said the rural market tour would continue across other major markets in Nkanu West, describing it as part of the campaign organisation’s broader grassroots mobilisation efforts.
