MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) has warned customers across Enugu State who are yet to settle their September electricity bills to pay promptly or risk disconnection from the power supply.

The company said its field teams would commence disconnection exercises targeting customers with outstanding electricity bills as part of efforts to improve revenue collection.

According to MainPower, customers whose electricity supply is disconnected for non-payment will be required to pay the applicable reconnection fee before their electricity can be restored.

The company urged customers to make prompt payment of their bills, saying it remained committed to providing improved and reliable electricity services across its coverage areas.

“MainPower appreciates the cooperation of its customers and solicits their support in making prompt payment of their electricity bills to avoid service disruption,” the management said.

MainPower said customers could settle their bills at any of its cash offices or through authorised collection agents and electronic payment platforms.

It listed available electronic payment channels to include bank applications, Quickteller, E-Transact and BuyPower, among others.

The company reiterated its appeal to customers to settle their outstanding September bills to avoid disconnection and the additional cost associated with reconnection.
