Chairman of S. Mobile Group, Dr. Ifeanyi Kingsley Adonu, has congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to embrace unity, innovation and digital solutions as part of efforts to build a more prosperous nation.
In his Independence Day message on Thursday, October 1, 2026, Adonu described the anniversary as an important opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey, celebrate the resilience of its people and look forward to greater opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities.
He said Nigeria’s strength lies in the determination, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of its citizens, stressing that technology and digital innovation could play a significant role in improving everyday life and expanding economic opportunities.
“On behalf of myself and the entire S. Mobile Group family, I warmly congratulate Nigerians on the celebration of our 66th Independence Anniversary. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and its progress requires the collective effort, resilience and commitment of every citizen,” Adonu said.
The S. Mobile Group chairman also urged Nigerians to take advantage of the S. Mobile Agent App, a digital platform offering access to various mobile and payment services.
According to him, users of the platform can access subsidised data and airtime purchases, alongside services such as bill payments, television subscriptions and other digital transactions.

Adonu encouraged Nigerians to download the application, explore its features and incorporate the platform into their everyday digital transactions.

The businessman also called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and united while supporting initiatives capable of improving lives and creating new opportunities.
