Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election without rigging, arguing that grassroots mobilisation by All Progressives Congress (APC) members makes it unnecessary for the President to attend every campaign rally.

Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, said party members serving as field workers were already mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the election, stressing that effective campaigning required reaching voters in their communities rather than concentrating political activities in Abuja.

Speaking recently, the senator said, “For me, I don’t think it’s necessary for President Tinubu to keep running around campaigning for his re-election in 2027.

“We are field workers, and we are already doing that for him. President Tinubu will win without rigging.”

Kalu explained that election campaigns should focus on the grassroots, where voters live, rather than on political gatherings among party leaders in the nation’s capital.

He urged APC members to return to their communities and intensify mobilisation efforts instead of engaging in internal disputes in Abuja.

The former governor also called on APC leaders to unite behind Tinubu and concentrate on securing electoral support, noting that governors, ministers, senators and other party leaders familiar with their respective constituencies were already taking the campaign to the people.

He maintained that the party’s field marshals had a crucial role to play in building grassroots support for the President ahead of the 2027 general election.
