The Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Peter Eze, has sponsored former Obollo Afor Ward Councillor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Odo, to participate in a three-week seminar programme in China as part of his human capital development initiatives.
Odo departed Nigeria for China on Monday, October 26, 2026, expressing joy and gratitude for the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and broaden his experience.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, the former councillor thanked Eze for considering him worthy of the sponsorship and providing him with the opportunity to learn and gain international exposure.
The sponsorship is the latest in a series of human capital development interventions attributed to Eze, who has reportedly supported several young people to travel abroad for educational and professional development opportunities.
On September 20, 2026, five Enugu youths secured scholarships to study in the United States during the maiden edition of the Peter Eze Youths Connect, held at the International Conference Centre, Enugu. The scholarships were sponsored by Eze.
Odo’s participation in the China seminar is expected to expose him to new ideas and knowledge that could strengthen his capacity to contribute to the development of his community upon his return.
The initiative underscores Eze’s stated commitment to investing in people through learning opportunities and international exposure.
