Two officers of the Nigerian army have been reportedly killed on Saturday after a military vehicle climbed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), suspected to have been mounted by terrorists along the Abuja-Kaduna high way.

Many soldiers were reported to have been injured in the attack.

According to SaharaReporters, the soldiers were said to be on a mission along the Abuja-Kaduna high way when their vehicle struck the IED.

The military authorities have deployed several soldiers to the area to locate and possibly rescue passengers abducted by terrorists, who attacked the Kaduna-Abuja train last Monday.

Commuters now travel with fear along the Abuja-Kaduna route as it is now a known den of terrorists.

On Monday night, about seven soldiers were killed along the axis.

The incident, SaharaReporters gathered occurred around Gawu Village in Niger State.
