We wish to make a formal clarification and tender an unreserved apology regarding an earlier report which inaccurately stated that Mr. Tochukwu Nzekwe, CEO of TOSHEL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, was remanded in prison.
After a thorough review and confirmation from court documents now available to us, it has become clear that Mr. Nzekwe ‘Toshel’ was never remanded in prison on any charges. Rather, he was arraigned on what appears to be a trumped-up charge and was granted bail by the Chief Magistrate of Enugu North Magistrate Court, His Worship S.O. Chukwuani.
We acknowledge that our earlier report was based on misinformation from a source that has now proven to be unreliable. We take full responsibility for the distress this may have caused Mr. Nzekwe, his associates, and the wider public who place trust in our reporting.
We deeply regret this error and sincerely apologise to Mr. Tochukwu Nzekwe for any damage this report may have caused to his reputation and professional standing. We respectfully appeal for his forgiveness and understanding.
