The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu, has issued a scathing statement against Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, accusing him of deceit, hypocrisy, and tribal bias.
In the statement signed by Comrade Edeson Samuel, MASSOB’s National Director of Information, the group alleged that Primate Ayodele had embarked on a “sponsored mission” to deceive Nigerians under the guise of prophecy and divine revelation.
“Your anti-Igbo and tribalized nature, with a pathological hatred for Ndigbo, has been exposed. In your sponsored mission to castigate, frustrate, and condemn everything about Peter Obi’s presidency—which over 90% of Nigerians are yearning for—you have failed,” MASSOB stated.
The pro-Biafra movement accused Ayodele of turning a blind eye to the economic hardship and insecurity allegedly caused by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while claiming to defend him for selfish and political reasons.
“In your desperate support for President Tinubu, you have ignored the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria. Yet, you are quick to defend Tinubu because the government of the United States, under President Donald Trump, has risen to stop the killings of followers of Jesus Christ, whom you claim to serve,” the group said.
MASSOB declared its full support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s position on the deteriorating human rights and religious freedom situation in Nigeria, saying Trump’s actions were justified.
“MASSOB supports President Trump’s move to dismantle the Islamic agenda of turning Nigeria into a religious state. We back the effort to expose both local and foreign-backed Fulani jihadists ravaging Nigeria. Christians are being massacred daily without any protection or intervention from the federal government,” the statement added.
Rejecting Ayodele’s claim that Trump’s intervention was meant to destabilize Tinubu’s government, MASSOB argued that the administration was “self-destructing” through corruption, nepotism, and mismanagement.
“Tinubu is the one destabilizing his administration by appointing his kinsmen, the Yorubas, to manage 98% of key ministries, parastatals, and agencies. His government runs like a family business, riddled with incompetence and insensitivity to the suffering of Nigerians,” the group declared.
MASSOB also backed international scrutiny of Nigeria’s current leadership, insisting that Tinubu’s election victory was fraudulent.
“The American government knows Tinubu was not elected by Nigerians. He connived with INEC Chairman Yakubu Mahmoud and former Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola to steal a mandate that is now too hot for him to handle,” the group alleged.
The pro-Biafra group dismissed Ayodele’s recent advice to Tinubu to “seek God’s face,” calling it another attempt at deception.
“Primate Ayodele should stop misleading Nigerians. Tinubu was not installed by God. If he seeks anyone’s face, it should be that of Mahmoud Yakubu and Justice Ariwoola,” MASSOB said.
The statement concluded with a stern warning to Primate Ayodele to desist from what it described as “politically motivated prophecy,” accusing him of exploiting religion to shield corrupt leaders from accountability.
