The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2027 General Elections, outlining key dates for screening, appeals, primaries, and the sale of nomination forms across all levels of elective offices.

The schedule, issued on Monday, April 20, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, His Excellency Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, details a full roadmap for the party’s internal electoral process ahead of the 2027 polls.

According to the timetable, the process begins with the notice of election to state chapters on April 20, 2026, while the sale of forms at the APC National Secretariat is scheduled to run from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The deadline for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents is fixed for Monday, May 4, 2026.

Screening of aspirants across various categories—including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and Presidential aspirants—will hold between Wednesday, May 6 and Friday, May 8, 2026, with screening results scheduled for release on Monday, May 11, 2026.

The party also fixed May 12 to May 13, 2026, for screening appeals.

Primary elections will follow shortly after, beginning with the Presidential primary on Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026. House of Representatives primaries are slated for Monday, May 18, followed by Senate on Wednesday, May 20, State Houses of Assembly on Thursday, May 21, and Governorship primaries on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Appeal processes for the primaries are also structured to follow each phase, running from May 18 through May 25, 2026, depending on the category.

The party also released the cost of forms, with expression of interest and nomination fees varying by office, ranging from ₦6 million for State Assembly aspirants to ₦100 million for presidential aspirants.

In a statement accompanying the timetable, the APC said:

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the Party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals.”

The party said the timetable reflects its determination to ensure order, transparency, and inclusiveness in the selection of its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
