All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party, however, retained previously announced dates for its Senate, State House of Assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the House of Representatives primary earlier scheduled for a different date will now hold on Saturday.
“Previously announced Primary Election dates for the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries remain unchanged,” the statement noted.
Under the revised timetable released by the ruling party, the Senate primaries will hold on Monday, May 18, while the State House of Assembly primaries are fixed for Wednesday, May 20.
The governorship primary election is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, while the presidential primary will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
